Have a look here. I highly recommend using a Javascript solution over .htc.

I located the solution for the IE memory leak for the ADxMenu after realizing there was no update to the physical files at Aplus. I'll need to implement it in the next release when I have time soon.

The menu on the site works without crashing , but isn't it the problem of Memory leak ? :

Memory leak in IE
If you use the menu on the page that is open for a long period and it refreshes often (like every 15-30s) IE will quickly eat up all available memory and bring the machine to a halt.
The problem is with the way ADxMenu.htc works and IE not freeing the memory on page unload. Another problem with no known solution.

Can you do me a favor please and see if this new release of ADxMenu without Typo3 is causing your browser to crash?

http://www.aplus.co.yu/adxmenu/examples/netymology-hs/

There is a new version of ADxMenu ad of September 21. It was learned that IE will throw 妬nvalid pointer error. The .21 version fixes this. I'll update soon. In the meantime you can get the new files here.

Yes, the same problem: I downloaded Nuovo today, removed the topmenu but after navigating a while in the left menu IE6 chrashes.
Is there a solution for this problem ?

That's not good news. Has anyone else had this problem?
I'm checking for updates at http://www.aplus.co.yu/ADxMenu/

Hi Greg,

I checked it out some minutes ago and all I can say is: You found the reason.
I don't need a ADxMenu on the Top so I removed all that is in relation with ADxMenu and the htc-file and everything works fine.

Thanks

Thanks for your help, I will check it out asap. I think I have the newest version of IE because Windows receive updates automatically.

IE has a history of crashing however if it's crashing over 40% of the time when you pull up the CSS menu then it may be the .htc file... I haven't experienced this so I'm not sure what is going on. Have you recently upgraded to a newest version of IE 6?

I used nouvo1.0 to setup a typo3-cms. Everything works fine except navigating throug the menu with IE6. Each time I click throug the menu Internet Explorer 6 crashes. When I use Firefox everything is fine.
IE told me there is a problem in modul mshtml.dll
Could anyone help?
Thanks,

Matthias
