I believe all you need to do is point Direct Mail to your FE users. It's been over a year since I played with Direct Mail. I may set it up again soon when I have more time to see what's new and improved. Let us know what you find out in the meantime. Usually if you get stuck you can Google a solution.

...or how can i combine frontend user registration with directMail AND send different mails to each user group?

All my users should get "newsletters" from me. I tried to solve this by using Direct Mail, but this one makes a own address list instead of using the list which is already existing.
So how can I send messages to all of my users and can separate between user groups?
