Unfortunately this is not an easy solution. You will be required to know both Typoscript templating and knowledge of the TYPO3 extension Kickstarter.

Subject: Newbie question user registration customisation
Hi all,
I've been tooling around sites and mailing lists looking for some help but haven't been able to find anything yet
Basically I want to create a website where a new user can signup and register with certain details, name, email, address etc. Then whenever they retunr to the site and login they have the option of changing their details if they need to or adding info etc.
Now i've tried a number of open source CMS's and typo3 supposedly does allow this but i can't figure out how to customize the fileds that a new user is required to fill in.
It says it's via an extension but i can't find that either.
I want to be able to ask the new users for more than they are currently being asked to fill out but there doesn't appear to be any admin function to allow this. Am I stuck with the defaults?!
