I know the feeling. It took a couple years of figuring out all the simple steps needed to realize that TYPO3 is not all that difficult once it's up and running and you are familiar with the options you need. Power and flexibility have a price.

I've learned most of what I know through Google and newsgroups. Since TYPO3 started using Jive to connect it's newsgroup to a forum format it gets even easier finding what you need if Google lets you down. Try the advanced search. It's very effective for more complex troubleshooting.

i don't know if it's more embarassing that the answer was so simple or that i actually spent time looking through tsconfig and other reference docs trying to see where the problem was!

Make sure you have Extended view checked

I've just installed zlightpro and have a question.
In the back end, I don't have the quick edit icons next to the pages I've created. I'm not sure where to look for the problem...i haven't set any permissions
